Assistant Athletic Director of External Affairs and Resource Development | Fairmont State University
Fairmont, West Virginia, Primary responsibilities include: External Relations – Assist the Director of Athletics with external relations. Assist on game days with donor relations and customer service needs. Must be available to work games, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned. Resource Development – Serve as secondary liaison to the Fairmont State Foundation, Inc. and Office of Alumni Relations. Lead fund raising efforts for $1,000 Club and Annual Day of Giving. Assist with preparation of an annual work plan outlining strategic initiatives, correlating gift table, and prospect pipeline to successfully reach annual donor and dollar goals. Compliance: • Have knowledge of NCAA rules and communicate with compliance office. • Responsible for all compliance forms for travel. • Responsible for working with lacrosse staff on all aspects of ACS software system. Home Game Meals: • Set up all home game, spring break, and after classes are out meals for team. • Administer meal per diem for spring break or after classes are out. Team Functions: • Organize with head coach any team dinners. • Coordinate community service with student development/head coach. Keep record of individual and team hours for community service. • Assist head coach in planning senior day, parents' day, etc. Video Coordinator: • Responsible for coordinating video for all practices, home, and away contest. • Supervise managers for video production. • Use Hudl for practice and game film to upload to League exchange and team page. Job Summary The Academic Success Assistant - Departmental Assistant will be supervised by an Academic Success staff member with the primary responsibility of meeting with an assigned caseload of student-athletes to develop and improve academic skills and contribute to the development and maintenance of objective-based study hall plans.
