Assistant Athletic Director, Digital Strategy | Stanford Athletics
Stanford, California, The Stanford University Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Athletics Director, Digital Strategy. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director, Marketing, this position will lead and manage the Digital Strategy staff, creating and executing a bold vision for an innovative consumer digital experience and digital brand advancement, rooted in strategic direction, authentic brand activation and deep fanbase understanding. Fairmont, West Virginia, Primary responsibilities include: External Relations – Assist the Director of Athletics with external relations. Assist on game days with donor relations and customer service needs. Must be available to work games, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned. Resource Development – Serve as secondary liaison to the Fairmont State Foundation, Inc. and Office of Alumni Relations. Lead fund raising efforts for $1,000 Club and Annual Day of Giving. In addition, the Assistant Director will meet with the Athletics Director to review objectives, opportunities, and challenges. Strategies will then be developed as a result of these reviews. Experience/knowledge of the intercollegiate athletic environment and the need for external resources. Experience with diverse populations. Two years experience in a similar role that presented like challenges and pressures, as well as familiarity with regional collegiate institutions and a sense of the financial challenges faced is preferred.

We are looking for an innovative communicator and storyteller who will manage Mizzou Athletics’ primary social media accounts and serve as the primary media contact for assigned sports as part of the Strategic Communications staff. The Mizzou Strategic Communications staff serves as a liaison with the media and the general public on all matters relative to Mizzou Athletics. Duties will include, but not be limited to: - Serving as the primary storyteller for assigned sports, including working with the content team on graphics and video materials, while also creating written materials, digital publications and social media plans. - Developing creative and innovative methods to enhance the program’s brand voice and media presence across all current and emerging platforms. - Brainstorming, creating and publishing content to Mizzou Athletics’ social media channels, website and other platforms while maintaining the department’s social media strategy.
