Head Cheer Coach

Salary Range: Annual Salary $10,000

Position Information and Requirements:
I. Position Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Athletic Director, the Head Cheer Coach is responsible for leading all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of Cheer.

II. Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate all cheer activities.
Lead recruiting, instructing and retaining highly skilled student-athletes for the cheer team.
Give instruction to student-athletes on the fundamentals of cheerleading.
Lead the marketing and promotion of HC Cheer.
Counsel student-athletes in sport participation, personal development and academics.
Assist in the monitoring of student-athletes academic progress.
Drive student athletes or other students to team activities and/or athletic events.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Motivate team to become successful.
Interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the College community and the public.
Communicate effectively and support the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and Athletic Director.

III. Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills
Player or coach experience in cheerleading at the college or professional level required.
Must have a good driving record and pass a background check.
Maintain Confidentiality.
Must be able to work summer camps
Organizational skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Planning skills.
