Job Description Simon Fraser University is in the process of transitioning from NAIA to NCAA D-II and is seeking applicats for the position of full-time Assistant Softball Coach.
Teaching Subjects Not Specified/None 
Sport Information Sport: Softball - Fastpitch Softball    
Gender Classification: Female Only  
Note: Gender describes the team or individuals being coached, trained, supervised or taught. It does not refer to the job applicant.
Division/Level NAIA 
Responsibilities Under the direction of the Head Coach; Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the direction of all phases of a competitive softball program in accordance with Simon Fraser University, GNAC Conference, and NAIA/NCAA II rules and regulations.

Specific Duties include:
• Pitching staff training and development
• Recruiting and evaluating prospective student-athletes
• Assisting in the development of student-athletes on and off the field
• Assisting in camp coordination and delivery
• Assisting the Head Coach in multiple additional aspects of the program
* Additional administrative duties may be assigned by Senior Director of Athletics


 
Qualifications At a minimum, you should have:
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Experience and understanding of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
• Coaching and/or playing experience (pitching experience perferred)
• Understanding of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Basic administrative and organizational skills
