The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Softball Coach. The position is a temporary, full-time academic year appointment with possibility of annual renewal.

| Responsibilities |
The head coach is responsible for all phases of a competitive NCAA Division II women’s softball program. Specific responsibilities include organization, administration, supervision, scheduling, recruiting, conditioning, coaching, budgeting, and the selection and supervision of assistant coaches. The head coach must have a willingness to recruit from diverse populations as well as monitor student-athletes’ academic progress. Head coach will be expected to contribute to the overall working of the department, including fundraising and public relations activities within the department, University and Chico community. |
| Qualifications |
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree required. Three years collegiate women’s softball coaching experience required. Experience recruiting in an intercollegiate environment required.Preferred: Demonstrated success as a head women’s softball coach at the intercollegiate level including evidence of successful student retention, commitment to academic success of student athletes as well as overall team success. The successful candidate shall demonstrate a commitment to high academic standards and a reputation for integrity. Preference will go to candidates with demonstrated knowledge of the NCAA rules and experience with fundraising.
