Job Description
Ensure medical care for all varsity teams.Design and supervise rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries and refer the athlete to the appropriate medical provider when necessary. Develops plans for providing Athletic Training Coverage at all intercollegiate athletic events.

Maintain accurate medical records for injuries, treatment, rehabilitation, and physician referrals. Maintain a working relationship with a designated team physician and community physicians, coaches and other staff members. Continue to update and comply with Athletic Training policies as required and manage the insurance process and required NCAA paperwork.

Supervise Athletic Trainers and any Per Diem Athletic Trainers in accordance with Emerson College and Emerson College Sports Medicine Department Policies and Procedures.

Administer an athletic training student program in accordance with the participating schools guidelines.

Responsible for budgeting, ordering, and maintaining inventory of athletic training supplies.

Responsible for CPR/AED and first aid certification for coaches, staff and work study as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Required Knowledge:
Position requirements Bachelors Degree and 1) certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and maintain the standards established by the National Athletic Trainers Associations (NATA) role delineation study and Code of Ethics. 2)maintaining good standing membership with the NATA, the local NATA district and the State Athletic Trainers Association. 3)active licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health, 4)active certification in professional CPR and AED certification.

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
Master degree in field

Required Prior Work Experience:
Three years of previous athletic training experience required.
